The North Beach Watersports owners, Arnie and Shane, met while serving at the Coast Guard Station at Nags Head’s Oregon Inlet. They advanced in the Coast Guard and became Surfman (the highest ranking boat operator in the CG). The two became best friends, sharing stories of countless daring rescue missions and developing a brotherly bond. Shane retired from the Coast Guard in 2005, and used his extensive experience and people skills to start his own parasail business. Along the way, Jeff became Arnie’s brother-in-law and joined the team, adding his expertise from working with North Carolina’s Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The three men, with their combined expertise, formed a lively team.  

Arnie retired from the Coast Guard in 2014 and everything started to come together. The trio dedicated hours of planning and hard work to build a small business with eight jet skis and one parasail boat. Today, North Beach Watersports has grown into a full-service watersports empire with over twenty jet skis, pontoon boats, kayaks, paddleboards, two twelve-pack parasail boats, tubing, and banana boats.

Generations of children, families, friends, and trusted employees contribute to making each guest's vacation memorable. Safety is always our top priority, backed by years of Coast Guard experience. The newest equipment, rotated regularly, ensures a high standard of fun and excellence.
